Finding The Motivation to Keep Going

Background

Sometimes people come to a conclusion about us based on what they see, for better or worse.

Several times as a motivational speaker and life/health coach, an audience member or client has said, “Peter with all due respect, what do you know about struggling with weight or suffering in life. Look at you, you have great genetics and things come easy for you.”

I pause, take the compliment for what it is, then respectfully share, “You might not know that I was 60 pounds overweight (see sweater pic) and depressed, and though our mom bought our groceries with food stamps, I quit my football scholarship because I was lost. You also might not know that my father chose to end his life in a public way when I was in high school.”

Back Then…

Now, I also add this…

Four years ago I lost 90% of my income when the world lost its collective mind.

Not sure how I would support my children and their mother, after I panicked, I went back to the three things that have never failed me- The three things that helped me survive my father‘s public act, divorce, foreclosures, health challenges, and loss of direction.

By consistently employing the three things below I have regained 60% of my income, but more importantly, have loving relationships with my children and their mother and my family, maximized my health, get to speak to excellent audiences, and work with the best clients in the world who teach me as much as I teach them.

1. FOCUS: Direct your mind towards your purpose. Then control anxiety to stay laser focused on what you want most, letting nothing distract you.

2. FOOD: Eat the foods that the healthiest, happiest, most successful people in the world eat to have unlimited energy, sleep better, maintain a healthy weight, and prevent disease. Avoid the foods that sabotage health and trigger anxiety.

3. FITNESS: Train your mind and body to be confident and powerful with the best exercises that release human growth hormone, testosterone, serotonin (happy hormone), painkillers, cancer killing T cells, and more.
